Subaru Recall Affects Over 800,000 Vehicles

Subaru has recently announced that they will be recalling 877,000 vehicles for two distinct issues. According to the statement released by the company, the first recall will affect 408,271 vehicles and is designed to repair an issue involving rear stabilizer bracket bolts. The second recall, which includes 466,205 automobiles, is related to an issue with faulty ECM software.

Evaluating the Car Models Included in the Recall

The individual car models included in the first recall involve vehicles manufactured between 2018-2019. Specific models featured in the recall include the Crosstrek, Crosstrek Hybrid, and the Forester. The ECM software recall encompasses Impreza vehicles manufactured between 2017-2019 and Crosstrek crossover automobiles produced between 2018-2019.

Thus far, no incidents have been reported as byproduct of either issue.  That being said, Subaru is taking no chances and will begin notifying car owners this week. More information about similar automobile recalls can be found here.
