3 Injured in Oro Grande Head-On Collision

Two adults and a 7-year-old child were injured in a head-on collision on National Trails Highway Thursday. The crash occurred west of Mill Street in Oro Grande, around 8:30 a.m.

Police say a woman was driving a Ford Escape northbound, while a man was heading south in a Hyundai Sonata. It is unclear exactly what happened, but the vehicles crashed head-on in the northbound lane.

Both drivers were airlifted to trauma centers for major injuries. A 7-year-old girl was also in the Ford Escape at the time of the accident. She sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The head-on crash shut down a portion of the highway for about an hour while police investigated. Anyone with information about the accident should contact the Victorville CHP at (760) 241-1186.

“Our thoughts are with everyone who was injured in this crash. Head-on collisions are some of the most dangerous crashes, and we hope everyone will recovery fully,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
