On August 21st, Palm Desert police arrested a local area driver following a serious crash at of a nearby mobile home park. According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle has been arrested for driving while under the influence. This incident yet again underscores the immense danger associated with drunk driving. As can be seen here, one man’s mistake could have serious implications for the rest of the community.
Following his arrest, the suspect was taken to a local hospital in order to treat minor injuries he sustained from the crash. As of yet, no civilian injuries have been reported which are directly linked to the actions of the driver. Local reporting has been provided with images which depict the arrested individual’s car smashed firmly against a sturdy wall.
The damage done to the mobile park facility occurred at 4 PM on a Wednesday. With that in mind, this accident may initially somewhat counter intuitive, given the fact that so many instances of driving under the influence occur late at night over throughout the weekend. With that in mind, this story should also serve as a serious reminder for adults of all ages to always remain vigilant and aware while driving. Drunk drivers pose a serious threat to both pedestrians and drivers, irrespective of date or time.
