Dust Storm May Have Caused Car Crash in Victorville
Dust Storm May Have Caused Car Crash in Victorville

On Monday, October 25th, a dust storm in Victorville may have been the instigating force behind a multi-vehicle car crash. According to authorities and local reports, a two-vehicle accident at approximately 11:38 AM quickly escalated when one of the vehicles -which had pulled over to the shoulder, was subsequently hit from behind by another vehicle. Following this, two to three additional vehicles sustained minor damages.

At the time of the accident, gusting winds had created challenging visibility for local drivers. These conditions, it is believed, may have been a direct cause of the accident. At 9:45 AM the morning of the accident, wind gusts of 47 miles per hour had already been reported.

Due to the challenging weather, an individual who sustained moderate injuries could not be flown to a nearby trauma center. Such conditions were not only posing a threat to drivers, but also emergency vehicles responding to the scene of the accident. More information about this accident will be presented as it becomes available.
