Erratic Driver Causes Another Crash in Victorville

Two people had to be extricated from a Kia Soul after being hit in a two-vehicle crash in Victorville Monday afternoon. A witness, Julieth Vargas of Victorville, says the driver of a Chrysler sedan crashed into a street sign on Bear Valley Road before colliding with the Kia. The witness was allegedly driving west on Bear Valley Road when the Chrysler driver cut her off from an unknown direction, before slamming into the street sign and then hitting the Kia. Vargas says she had to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision.

According to Vargas, the Kia was attempting to exit a parking lot and turn onto Bear Valley Road when it was struck by the Chrysler. The crash propelled the Kia up a nearby sidewalk and it came to rest on the landscape in front of a former David’s Bridal building. The Chrysler crossed the divider into the eastbound lanes, coming to rest on the sidewalk.

Officers responded to the scene of the two-vehicle crash near Bear Valley Road and Amargosa Road around 2 p.m. The Chrysler driver was transported by ambulance for treatment of unknown injuries. The man and woman in the Kia were extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized with unknown injuries.

“This crash looks like a case of erratic driving that put several lives in jeopardy. We’re praying for the recovery of everyone who was injured,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
