Do You Hate Robo Calls?

In 2015, Time Warner Cable was ordered to pay $229,500 to a woman it harassed with robo calls.

The victim, Araceli King, continued to inform Time Warner that they were reaching the wrong person. However, the cable company continued the calls, even after King filed the lawsuit.

Time Warner Violated Consumer Protection Act

The West District Court Judge, Alvin Hellerstein found the conduct was particularly egregious and violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. He awarded triple damages, totaling $1,500 per call.
