Cathedral City Crash Claims Life

Just after midnight on Monday, November 25th, the second vehicular fatality in four days occurred in the Coachella Valley. According to authorities, Annette Sepulveda was killed when the vehicle she was driving crashed into a cement object attached to the center median on Dinah Shore Drive. The crash occurred at 12:07 AM, and Ms. Sepulveda was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:31 AM.

Authorities have also released information regarding a second passenger in the vehicle who was also critically injured. At the time of this publication, the only information released regarding the passenger is their gender – male. That being said, it is known that the seriousness of his injuries required the use of an immediate visit to the hospital, where he was registered in critical condition.

It is not yet known whether or not Ms. Sepulveda was driving with any form of impairment, such as intoxication or fatigue, at the time of the accident. What is known, however, is that this particular fatality has lifted the number of traffic deaths in Cathedral City for 2019 to be on par with previous years. Despite increasing awareness regarding driver safety, there has yet to be any noticeable reduction in the number of tragic accidents occurring on these roads each year.
