Police Searching for Victorville Street Racing Hit-and-Run Suspects

Police are searching for two suspects who fled the scene of a hit-and-run crash Friday in Victorville. They suspect that the crash was the result of street racing.

The hit-and-run crash occurred around 11:50 a.m. on Dos Palmas Drive, near Dellwood Street. Surveillance footage showed that a Chevrolet Camaro was driving west on Dos Palmas in the wrong lane, when it crashed head-on into a Nissan pickup truck. The impact pushed the pickup truck onto the sidewalk.

Witnesses say the Camaro that caused the crash was racing another Camaro when it crossed into oncoming traffic. After the crash, witnesses saw the at-fault driver get into the other Camaro, which then sped away from the scene.

The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are still searching for the hit-and-run crash suspects. Anyone with information should contact the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911.
